Front End Web Developer
The Front End Web Developer at GEM is responsible for the visual and interactive elements of all web projects. They are involved in each step of building a website, including planning, prototyping, design, development, and launch. They implement best practices in user experience and accessibility to make sites usable and enjoyable for the broadest set of users. Whether or not they are directly involved in the design process, the Front End Developer must be able to code a near-exact replica of a website design, while adapting for multiple screen sizes and platforms.
Required Skills/Experience:

Copywriter
GEM New Haven is looking for a qualified, experienced Copywriter for its in-house Creative+Strategy Department.
We are looking for a self-motivated lifelong learner who shares our core values of passion, clarity and integrity. Applicants should have experience with all types of copywriting - including social media and blogging, web copy, technical writing, brand voice development, advertisements and headlines, taglines and tagline development, pitches and proposals. Exceptional knowledge of the English language is required, along with an extensive vocabulary and the effective and correct use of grammar, punctuation, syntax and spelling. Applicants should be able to demonstrate a varied portfolio of exceptional work in not only copywriting, but in creating effective brand and marketing messages using the written word in combination with art direction and media type.
The Copywriter position is a fast-paced job that requires great communication with the team, ingenuity and critical-thinking skills. Graphic Designer

Graphic Designers are tasked with developing creative assets from a single creative brief, and should be able to take constructive feedback into account in order to produce exceptional, brand-appropriate design work for a wide variety of industries. This position will report to the Art Director.

Social Media Strategist
GEM New Haven is seeking a qualified, experienced Social Media Strategist for its in-house Social Media Department.
GEM is looking for a self-motivated lifelong learner who shares its core values of passion, clarity and integrity. Applicants must have several years of experience in social media management, including:
- Copywriting for social media and SEO
- Managing multiple platforms both directly and through publishers like HootSuite
- Proficiency in Photoshop, MyEmma, WordPress, Google G Suite, Asana, and basic HTML/CSS
- Ability to access, interpret, compile and present analytics on all social platforms and Google Analytics
- A history of working with social media influencers and launching influencer campaigns
- The ability to budget, place, monitor, track and analyze native advertisements on all social media platforms
- A portfolio of work on behalf of businesses
The Social Media Strategist (SMS) position is a fast-paced job that requires independent problem-solving, excellent delivery in high-pressure situations, a passion for the highest standards of work, collaboration in a multidisciplinary team, and great communication and presentation skills. The SMS will be responsible for:
- Daily/weekly content creation that supports and enhances a client’s social relevancy. This content will be a combination of imagery, URL’s, videos, podcasts and event promotions; all of which will pair with supporting copy that adheres to the client brand's voice and vision.
- 24/7 real-time monitoring and responding to a client’s social media channels, acting as a social media ambassador in the voice of the brand.
- Creating "on-brand" e-newsletters that educate and inform audiences of upcoming events and initiatives.
- Collating monthly metrics that detail the client’s online community, providing feedback on the number of social media engagements, followers gained and number of impressions that have been made throughout the month.
- Collaborating with team members to build inbound and outbound communications for upcoming client’s social collateral such as: eBooks, blogging and infographics.
- Attending and managing social media event coverage, which will include: capturing imagery, crafting supportive copy, re-sharing valuable content, and populating obtained content on social media channels in real-time.
- Executing native advertising efforts on behalf of GEM’s clients, selecting social channels, online publishing houses and inbound marketing initiatives that best achieve a client's objectives.
- Providing analytics, recommendations and metrics to support both internal and external GEM initiatives (proposals, presentations and inbound marketing efforts).
- Researching and implementing social media best practices as strategies and new platforms evolve.
- Developing and managing influencers and influencer campaigns.
The SMS role is an entrepreneurial one, needing critical thinking skills, management skills, and a high degree of passion for the role, the agency and the agency's clients. Therefore, GEM is looking for flexibility, adaptability and commitment in the applicant's personality. The SMS will have the opportunity to move into the Director of Social Media role based on performance.

Videographer/Editor
GEM New Haven is looking for a qualified, experienced Videographer/Editor for its award-winning, in-house Broadcast Department.

Applicants should have experience with DSLR cameras and film/lighting equipment, as well as extensive experience in editing systems like Adobe Premiere Pro, AfterEffects, Final Cut Pro and Motion. 2D motion graphic abilities are a must, and 3D motion graphics experience with C4D or Maya is a big plus.

Executive Assistant
GEM New Haven is looking for a dynamic, brilliant Executive Assistant to the agency principals. The Executive Assistant position is a critical one for keeping a multitude of projects and initiatives moving forward. The selected candidate will work closely with GEM's principals not only for GEM projects, but also for personal projects and initiatives at the suite of brands owned and operated by the principals.
Applicants should have extraordinary communication skills, exceptional time management and organization, adaptability, flexibility and a keen sense for anticipating needs and exceeding expectations. At any given time, the position will be working on a multitude of tasks which demand timeliness and accuracy.
The position will require typical responsibilities - like taking notes, booking travel and yes, even arranging lunch - but will also be responsible for moving complex projects forward, providing valuable research and business insights, and supporting the principals in communications, operations, legal, HR and other business tasks across a suite of companies. Therefore, applicants should have an extremely positive attitude and be willing to thoughtfully execute tasks from the mundane to the strategic, with off- and odd-hours availability.
